Fiefs Vendeens is just south of Muscadet near the mouth of the Loire. Most wines are red from Gamay or Cabernet but there are a few roses and some whites from varying combinations of Loire grapes, including Chenin Blanc, Sauvignon Blanc and Grolleau Gris. The rose is deliacte with complex summer fruit flavours which really linger on the palate. Perfect as a summer aperitif or with gentle salads or grilled red mullet.
